NHS Health Help Now ( posted on Jan 27, 2016 )

Find health help with NHS website and app

East Sussex’s four health and social care commissioning organisations – the three clinical commissioning groups and the East Sussex County Council - have a website and app, Health Help Now, to help you find the right treatment, especially when you are not sure what to do or who to contact.

Whether you have a baby with a high temperature, a child who is being sick, a teenager who is feeling low or you have sprained your ankle and for many other health problems, the Health Help Now app can guide you to the service that will help you best.

Health Help Now lists common symptoms for people of all ages and helps you find the best place for treatment for them in the local area. It shows the nearest services, whether they are open or closed, and provides a map of their location and directions.

Health Help Now also offers reliable health advice and links to other useful websites. Available at http://eastsussex.healthhelpnow-nhs.net/ it works on smartphones, tablets, and computers. To find the downloadable apps, just search Health Help Now at the Apple Store and the Android Google Play Store.

Why not download it to your device now so you have it to hand when you need it?

If you don’t have internet access, or if you need medical help fast but it isn’t a 999 emergency, dial 111.

Named allocated GP- all patients ( posted on Jan 5, 2016 )

All patients now have a named allocated GP , if you do not know who is your allocated GP please contact us on 01323 890072 and we will be happy to inform you.

Electronic Prescribing Service - EPS  enables prescribers, such as GP's and Practice Nurses, to send prescriptions electronically to a pharmacy of the patient's choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient, quicker and convenient for both patients and staff. It also avoids the need to call into the surgery to collect your prescription and enables you to go direct to the Pharmacy to collect your medication. In order to take full benefit of this service, you will need to advise us of your nominated pharmacy and also provide your consent with your next repeat prescription request.

Comment Boxes ( posted on Jan 26, 2012 )

There are now Comment boxes at all three sites. Please use them to leave any comments you have including your contact details if you require a reply. Thank you.

Diabetic Annual Reviews ( posted on Apr 9, 2009 )

We have a new system for our diabetic patients annual review. We would like you to attend for your review before the end of your month of birth. The review consists of 2 appointments, the first appointment will be with one of our HCA's who will perform all of the checks needed including your blood tests and foot check,  the results will be sent to you before your second appointment which must be at least 2 weeks later with our diabetic nurse.

You can contact us to book your appointment at any time, please do not wait for us to contact you, our reception team will be happy to book the appointments for you.

We hope that asking you to book before the end of your month of birth will be a reminder to book around your birthday every year.

Our Clinical Administrator Lora can also arrange these appointments and if you have any queries please contact her on 01323 493912.

It is important that you have these reviews annualy even if you are feeling well, the checks will make sure that you are taking the correct medication and reduce the chance of you becoming unwell in the future.
