Home Visits

Home visits are provided for those patients who are unable either through illness or disability to attend the surgery.  It is always far better for a patient to be seen in practice than at home as the clinican has access to all the facilities and care history that they require, so please try to get to the surgery whenever possible.

If you need a home visit, please try to make your request before 10.00am and give the Administration team as much detail as possible to help the Clinician, who may not be your usual doctor or have seen you before, to determine priority. Remember our Care Navigation Team need to ask you some questions and are trained in the rules of confidentiality.

Most visits in the practice will now be undertaken by our Paramedic Practitioner who is fully qualified to do the visits and has access to the Doctors at all times.
